WHAT IS GOLD FILLED?

Gold filled metal is made by bonding a layer of gold, usually 50-100 times thicker than plating, to a base metal, usually sterling silver or brass, using high heat and pressure.

This results in a metal that is very durable and does not flake off or rub off. It is much less expensive than solid gold.

SOLID GOLD vs. GOLD FILLED vs. GOLD PLATED

SOLID GOLD: Solid gold is a soft precious metal that comes right from the earth. Most expensive, will not turn your skin green, will not flake or peel. Skin allergies unlikely.

GOLD FILLED: Wears just like solid gold. Durable and does not flake or rub off. Much less expensive than solid gold. Like solid gold, gold filled metal will eventually tarnish over time. To clean, use a polishing cloth or soft soapy water. Skin allergies possible.

GOLD PLATED: Gold plated metal has a thin layer of gold deposited over a base metal such as copper or silver. Least expensive. Will eventually loose it's brightness and color, rub and flake off. Can turn skin green. Skin allergies common.

WHAT IF MY PACKAGE IS LOST, DAMAGED, or STOLEN?

Once your item(s) have left my studio, I assume no responsibility for items lost, damaged, or stolen. Please contact me if you'd like to upgrade your shipping options i.e. signature confirmation.

HOW TO PUT MY NOSE HOOP IN?

My nose hoops are inherently thin and need to be handled very gently and carefully.

1) using clean hands - simply unhook and pull hoop gently in opposite directions

2) insert the side with the 'small L hook' gently into your piecing from the OUTSIDE of your nostril and work your way DOWN into piercing, UP, OUT and AROUND so that both the 'small L' and 'eye (small loop)' are now exposed

3) again, pull hoop gently in opposite directions to re-align the 'small L' and 'eye' (not yet hooked)

4) after these two ends are aligned, now you can ever-so-carefully and slightly push the 'small L' down, under and into the 'eye'. The 'small L' end will spring up into the 'eye' closing the hoop

5) gently work the closed hoop ends back into your nose

HOW DO I MEASURE MY NOSE?

Please refer to my measurement guide in the description section of any nose hoop listings (you may have to scroll down a bit.) If you need additional help, please send me an email.
